Telegram's achievement, downloaded 500 million times on the Google Play Store

The fact that the instant messaging app Telegram is competing with WhatsApp can be traced back to the fact that this cloud based app has been downloaded more than 500 million (500 million) times on the Google Play Store.

These download statistics on the Play Store are seen as a success of the app. It shows how many users around the world are using an app in their phones. The same is true in the case of Telegram, as this app does not come pre-installed in Android smartphones (when buying a mobile).
