Telegram's achievement, downloaded 500 million times on the Google Play Store

The fact that the instant messaging app Telegram is competing with WhatsApp can be traced back to the fact that this cloud based app has been downloaded more than 500 million (500 million) times on the Google Play Store.

These download statistics on the Play Store are seen as a success of the app. It shows how many users around the world are using an app in their phones. The same is true in the case of Telegram, as this app does not come pre-installed in Android smartphones (when buying a mobile).

It is important to point out that the Google Messages app has also crossed the 100 crore mark on the Play Store. Speaking of WhatsApp, it has been downloaded 500 crore times on Play Store so far.

Just last month, Telegram crossed the 40 crore mark on the Google Play Store. On the occasion, the company said that the video conferencing service will be rolled out in the app this year.
