The storm, which started on October 11, has intensified since October 15. It is moving at a speed of 12 lakh km per hour. The last time such a dangerous storm occurred was in 19. Along with the sun flare energy, magnetic energy is also released which opens up some part of the outer surface of the sun called corona which looks like a flame. It also emits microscopic nuclear particles. These particles are scattered throughout the universe with energy called solar storms. Coronal mass ejection occurs after solar flare. During this time a tremendous explosion occurs in the ionized particles emanating from the surface of the sun. In the meantime, it covers any object that gets in the way. According to the US Space Weather Prediction Center, the storm falls into the G7 category, which could also damage the satellite. Ionized particles from mass injection can also damage the satellite.
