Voice typing will become easier and faster
Ahmedabad. 11 November 2020, Wednesday
With the help of Google Assistant in Gboard, typing can be done without touching the screen.
The way we type in all our smartphones also changes over time. With PCs and laptops having relatively large keyboards, we didn't need any of its alternatives, but most people don't like typing on a small screen in a smartphone, even on a small keyboard. That's why tech companies are trying to make smartphone keyboards smarter and easier to use.
Keyboards like Google's Gboard and Microsoft's Swiftkey have come a long way in this direction. Adding either of these keyboard apps to your smartphone can make your typing much faster and more convenient, just be prepared to learn new ways of typing by scrolling across different alphabets on the screen without lifting a finger from the keyboard.
Without such preparation, voice typing is now becoming more convenient. Many people have a habit of sending voice messages instead of messing around in WhatsApp. Rather, this voice typing is different. In it, what we say is typed as letters on the screen instead of being recorded as sound. Now Google has tried to make such voice typing easier in its Gboard app. This new method has the help of Google Assistant and because of this we will be able to type without touching the screen even once.
If you are trying voice typing right now, you will have the experience that we do not run without touching the keyboard to do all this. Keyboard re-action times are even faster in newer, assistant-based voice typing, and punctuation marks such as commas, fullstops, and question marks are added automatically depending on the context of the sentence. No).
Google's Pixel 4, 4A and 5 began rolling out this new type of Google Assistant based voice typing, but now it seems that Google is stopping it and many users are getting back to the old voice typing experience. This may have been a problem with the new type of voice typing, but we can only hope that in the near future, our typing on a smartphone will be much easier.
Older system of voice typing
Usually when we want to do voice typing in a smartphone, we turn on the phone, open an app like WhatsApp, put the cursor in the text box, open the keyboard and after typing in the microphone icon, voice typing is done.
A new system of voice typing
In the new system, after opening an app like WhatsApp with the help of Google Assistant, just saying 'Hey Google, type' activates the keyboard with the microphone. Now after starting voice typing, voice command of 'send' or 'delete' can be given to send the typed message. Voice typing can be started anew by saying 'clear' if you are not satisfied with what you have typed.
