WhatsApp users can now report status, work on new feature underway

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to report status updates on the desktop beta. That means you can report someone's status even from your desktop. If a user posts any questionable or inappropriate status that violates the messaging app's terms and conditions, it is called reporting to the app, according to WABetainfo, the status update can be reported by going to the status menu. This new option will let the moderation team know about any suspicious statuses.

If you report any such status, the message will be forwarded for moderation and checked for any violations. As this feature does not break end-to-end encryption, Meta does not track any status or calls, bringing this feature will prove to be a significant step by the company.

According to a report, this feature is still in the development stage. This will be implemented in the near future for this messaging app users in mobile and desktop.
