Now agriculture will also be done with AI! Vegetables were produced in Maharashtra with the help of artificial intelligence
Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture: Artificial Intelligence is currently being discussed everywhere. Artificial Intelligence or AI is being experimented with in every field. In this context, AI has also been used in the agricultural sector. According to a report, crops have been grown with AI technology in Maharashtra's Baramati district. This first experiment in agriculture in Baramati has also been successful.
Vegetables grown by AI
Along with sugarcane, vegetables like okra, tomato, chilli, watermelon, pumpkin, cabbage have been grown in Baramati district through artificial intelligence. In this every vegetable planning and crop management is also being done by AI itself.
How does AI work in agriculture?
In this regard, the expert of Krishi Vigyan Kendra said that AI has been used for the first time in various crops. It has various types of sensors, which help to know about the crop. It has systems for measuring soil nitrogen, phosphorus, air temperature and wind speed and air humidity as well as sensors for micro-monitoring of airborne diseases.
How does this technology work?
The technology has a sensor system that measures water, soil salinity and also soil electrical conductivity which affects crops. Every half an hour, this system sends information of all events happening on the ground, off the ground and in the air through sensors to the satellite and through the satellite to a computer with artificial intelligence software. Among them, the AI system provides sufficient information to the relevant farmer. With the help of this information, the farmer gets information about how much water to apply to the soil, how much fertilizer to apply, what type of fertilizer to apply and so on.
The use of AI in the agricultural sector has been successful
AI was first used in the agricultural sector. This experiment has also been successful. Oxford University has also pioneered the use of AI in agriculture and experiments are underway between the Agricultural Development Trust and Oxford University in Baramati.
