India's future 'spacecraft' ready, this reusable launch vehicle is called Pushpak
ISRO's Pushpak Space Shuttle: RLV-TD is a special type of space shuttle. Recently during his visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Prime Minister Modi saw its gigantic form. The aircraft named Pushpak is a reusable launch vehicle, which will carry satellites and cargo into space in the future.
Successful landing
It has been named Pushpak. Let's know how many and what kind of tests have been done. It was jointly tested by ISRO, DRDO and IAF on 2 April 2023 at Chitradurg, Karnataka. Landing of RLV-TD was done. The RLV was launched from a Chinook helicopter at a height of four and a half km and the craft landed successfully.
Spying, launching satellites or attacking can all do it
RLV is an indigenous space shuttle. Within a few years, astronauts could place cargo in a larger version and send it into space. Also satellites can be launched by Pushpak. It will leave the satellite in space and return. So that it can fly again.
Apart from this, any country can be spied on or attacked. Apart from this, enemy satellites can be destroyed in space itself. America, Russia and China also want to take advantage of similar technology. It is an automated reusable launch vehicle. Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) can be fired from such aircraft.
The cost of satellite launch will be reduced by 10 times
Things like blowing up power grids or destroying computer systems can also be done by RLV. ISRO aims to complete this project by 2030. So that the cost of making repeated rockets is saved. It will reduce the cost of satellite launch by 10 times. Apart from this, Indian astronauts can also be sent into space with the latest and upcoming version of the reusable launch vehicle. Currently, only the US, Russia, France, China and Japan are among those building such space shuttles. Russia built a similar shuttle in 1989 that flew only once.
