Why are days shorter and nights longer in winter on Earth despite being closest to the Sun? Understand in simple language

Why days become shorter on winters: Nowadays people are bothered by cold. Even in winter, the day gets shorter, so there is no idea when the time has passed. During winter, days in India become shorter and nights become longer, while in summer, days become longer and nights become shorter. But do you know why this happens?

Why do days get shorter in winter?

The distance from the Sun to the Earth is less in winter. But as it is tilted away from the sun, the days become shorter in the cold season. In the month of November, the Earth is tilted towards the Northern Hemisphere, due to which the sun's rays fall obliquely on the Earth. So the sunlight falls less on the earth during winter. In simple terms, the reason behind the days getting shorter and nights getting longer is because the Earth is tilted on its axis by 23.5 degrees.

Why do you feel sleepy during the day after a long night?

You may also be wondering why you don't get enough sleep despite the long nights in winter and why are you lazy to wake up in the morning? So the answer is that the sunlight falls on the earth for a very short time in winter. Which also affects our body, because our body needs sunlight, so if we don't get it, we feel sluggish and lethargic all the time.
