VIDEO: The biggest snake in the world! A 26-foot green anaconda, the size of a man's head

Navi Mumbai, dt. 21 February 2024, Wednesday

The world's largest snake has been found deep in the Amazon rainforest. This snake is so big that it can swallow large animals directly. The weight of this snake is three times that of an average human, about 200 kg. The head of this 26 feet long snake is equal to human head.

The name of this snake is Northern Green Anaconda. Wildlife presenter Professor Freak Vonk found the snake in a remote area of Brazil. Before this, the largest known species of snake was the reticulated python. Which was an average of 20 feet 5 inches long.

Previously, only one species of green anaconda was known in the Amazon, called the giant anaconda.

Professor Vonk, a 40-year-old Dutch biologist, can be seen swimming next to the anaconda. He said that this snake is 26 feet long and weighs around 200 kg. He said, 'Together with 14 other scientists from nine countries, we discovered the green anaconda, the world's largest snake species.

Giant snakes as we see them in movies are actually two different species. Green anacondas appear to be an entirely different species found north of their range in South America, including Venezuela, Suriname and French Guiana.

He said, 'Although at first glance they look almost identical, the genetic difference between them is 5.5 percent, which is huge.' Put it this way, the genetic difference between humans and chimpanzees is only 2 percent.
