Second spaceport to be set up at Kulasekarapattinam in Tamil Nadu: Kulasekarapattinam is a coastal city in Tamil Nadu. It is in the famous Thoothukudi district. Which was earlier known as Tuticorin. Tuticorin known for pearls will now also be known for rocket launches. Now small rockets like ASLV and SSLV will be launched from here. Private rocket launches will also be arranged.

This spaceport will be built on 2000 acres of land. PM Modi will lay its foundation stone on 28 February 2024. The project will promote science and technology in the state of Tamil Nadu.
