Many people dream of getting a job in Google, one of the biggest tech companies in the world. However, it is also a fact that many people working in this big company suddenly lose their jobs. Google's latest project is the Gemini AI chatbot and the company fired an employee working on it by sending an SMS. For this reason, Google is being heavily criticized in social media.

Former Google employee Alex Cohen shares his experience of getting fired from the tech company. Cohen has said, 'One day suddenly my Hangout and Google Drive access was taken away. I didn't know anything, but my manager sent an SMS saying that I have been fired from the company. The company did not even consider it necessary to go through this entire process.'

Alex was working on Gemini AI

Informing about his termination on microblogging platform X, Cohen wrote that 'I was working on algorithms related to Google's Gemini AI model. I'm sorry, I got fired from Google today. I was in charge of the algorithm being developed to optimize Gemini. I am taking a 12 month break and then decide what to do next. This five month journey has been fun.

The salary of the employee was increased three times

Surprisingly, in the last few days Perplexity AI CEO Arvind Srinivas said that Google once gave some of its employees a salary increase of up to 300%. The increase was given to employees who were part of the company's research team. These employees had no direct connection with the AI department.
