Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI is one of the most used tools in 2023. From ChatGPT to Bard and Gemini Eye, artificial intelligence has been made easier. Now the use of AI in the sector is increasing. So every day we are coming in contact with it in one way or another. In this way, some things are being simplified gradually so that the work is speeding up, on the other hand its risks are also increasing.

New cases are coming up continuously

There has been increasing news of AI being misused for some time now, with scams like AI voice scam or AI voice fraud coming to the fore. A few days back there have been some cases of AI voices. Recently, a similar case has come up in Lucknow as well. In which a person from Lucknow has cheated 45 thousand rupees. A woman was cheated like this before.

This is how the fraud was done

It is important to know what an AI voice scam is. First understand the case of Lucknow. In the Lucknow case, the victim of fraud was called as his relative. The accused made a call in the voice of his relative with the help of AI. He told the victim that I have to pay 90 thousand rupees to someone, but the payment fails. Then send the money to the number given by you. So he started transferring 90 thousand to the given number. But some transactions failed, so a scam of 44,500 rupees took place, otherwise it would have cost 90,000 rupees.

Currently the scam is being done through video calls

Like AI voice scams, scams are also being done through video calls. In which criminals use deepfake and artificial intelligence to make video calls pretending to be someone's acquaintance and extort money from someone by showing some pretext. Many times deepfakes are used to blackmail people by making obscene pictures or videos and make lakhs of rupees.
