New feature on WhatsApp, now you can make payments like Paytm and Google Pay, known details

A new update has arrived on the Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp. WhatsApp gave this information in a blog post. WhatsApp keeps providing new updates and features to its users from time to time.

WhatsApp payment feature

According to the blog post, users will be able to make purchases easily while chatting. From today, people in India can add items to their cart and pay using any method of their choice like debit and credit cards through all UPI apps running in India.

In which WhatsApp users will be able to pay online using UPI app, debit card, credit card and net banking.

According to tech experts, this WhatsApp update aims to encourage users to make purchases through WhatsApp.

WhatsApp's blog further stated that WhatsApp is happy to partner with Razorpay and PayU. UPI app now includes Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm.

Earlier users could make payments on WhatsApp through these apps, but only after being redirected outside of WhatsApp, but this will no longer be required.

100 million users have to use the WhatsApp payment feature

According to information provided by WhatsApp, WhatsApp has 500 million users in India, but only 100 million users use WhatsApp Pay. In such a situation, WhatsApp has added a new feature for this major change.

Until now, WhatsApp end-to-end shopping was available in Jio Mart and the Chennai and Bangalore metro systems. In such a situation, the new feature of WhatsApp will facilitate adding more options for payment.
