App caught recording audio without user's knowledge

Generally, if we want to download any app in our Android phone, it is imperative to download it from Google or the official app store of the phone manufacturing company. Because the apps in such app stores go through a strict security check. Apart from the official app store, Android phones can also download and install apps directly from various sources. But doing so is dangerous. Due to the high importance of security in Apple's iPhone, apps cannot be downloaded from sources other than Apple's own App Store.

However, especially in Android, it often happens that even the app that has passed the security test in Google's Playstore turns out to be dangerous for users! Now Google removed one such app from play store. This screen recording app was first launched in the Play Store in 2021. With its help, people could capture the screen of the phone. An update came in this app after a year or so. Now it turned out that after the app was updated, along with it, a malware was entering the phone through the app , which was recording audio without the knowledge of the users and then forwarding it to the remote server of the app company! This app was basically a screen recorder app so the permissions it asked for included permission to record audio. But after the app was updated, the app started recording audio without the user's knowledge! The app in the play store is also checked for security every time it is updated , but in this case there was a loophole somewhere!
