Rods are installed on roofs to protect buildings and people from lightning strikes from the sky. These rods send lightning underground. Brazilian scientists have invented a technology to send lightning underground before it strikes. These rods throw electric discharges into the sky before lightning strikes. This discharge attracts electricity towards itself. Lightning strikes these rods and goes into the ground.

Scientists installed slow motion cameras for testing

Brazilian scientists installed rods on buildings located in the northeast of the city of Sao Paulo. This type of event happens in less than a millisecond. It is very difficult to take photos or videos of this incident. In this situation, the scientists installed a high speed video camera 450 feet away. So that photos of electric discharges and lightning strikes can be taken in the sky by the road. This camera took 40 thousand photos every second.

These roads are an excellent way to save people's lives

A senior researcher at the National Institute for Space Research said, 'We recorded 31 electrical discharges, which appeared to attract lightning from the sky. These rods become active as the seasons change in the sky. This draws the negative charged electricity of the sky instantly making it positive. This is a great way to save people.

In Greece, electricity was redirected by lasers

A few months ago, scientists in Greece changed the direction of lightning by rapidly firing lasers into the sky. This experiment established that laser beams could be used instead of lightning rods on buildings. Due to which there will be no loss of life and property due to lightning. However, it will take time to fully develop this experiment.
