Research reveals that there is water in small glass beads on the moon

Moon is closest to our Earth. Scientists have been looking for the possibility of life on the moon for decades. Meanwhile, a new thing has come to light. Recently, a research has revealed that there may be water inside the small pearls of glass scattered on the moon. This may be an important discovery for humans in the future about the moon. This points to potential reserves of valuable resources. Scientists have long considered the moon to be a desert. However, many such traces have been found in the last few decades. This gives evidence of water on the moon.

Water is trapped inside the minerals

Scientists believe that there is water on the moon's surface and it is trapped inside these minerals. China launched a mission to explore the moon in 2020. The name of this mission was Robotic Chang-5. Meanwhile, lunar soil was brought to Earth as a sample. On this, scientists said on Monday that the analysis of these soil samples revealed that these glass spheres are molten and cold. It holds water atoms within itself on the moon's surface.

Sen Hu, a scientist at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that micrometeroids and large meteorites are constantly hitting the moon. Meanwhile their collision generates high energy. This helps to form the water glass. Water formed by the solar wind is produced by the reaction of solar hydrogen with oxygen present on the surface of the moon's glass beads.
