Avoid charging the vehicle in the sun

Leaving an electric vehicle in the sun to charge can be scary, because electric vehicles use lithium ion batteries that are not considered suitable for high pressure. This can cause the vehicle to overheat and affect the battery. Therefore, whenever charging the electric vehicle, take care of this matter.

Avoid battery discharge

If you want good range you have to be a little more careful with the battery. Electric vehicle batteries should never be allowed to fully discharge, because when you put a fully discharged battery to charge, the electrical energy initially felt is high. Due to this, there is a huge difference in electric charging costs. That is why it becomes important to consider this matter. If the battery gets down to 10 to 15 percent, it should be fully charged.

Do not overcharge

Batteries should never be overcharged. An electric vehicle battery is similar to a smartphone battery. While charging the battery, charging it to 100 percent should be avoided. Lithium-ion batteries found in most electric vehicles work best in the 30-80 percent charge range. Constant full charging of the battery puts a load on the battery and damages the battery.

Do not charge immediately after driving

Many people immediately charge electric vehicles when they return after driving. This should be avoided. Lithium-ion batteries generate excessive heat when supplying power to the motor. It is safe to charge the battery after it has cooled for at least 30 minutes.
