These colored coaches are more common and you will often find sky colored coaches in the train. These coaches are called Integral Coach, Integral Coach's factory is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This factory works under Indian Railways and manufactures General, AC, Sleeper, Demu and Memu coaches. These coaches are made of iron and have air brakes. These coaches are used in mail, express or superfast trains. The speed of the train in which these coaches are installed is 70 to 140 kilometers per hour.
Red Color:
Red colored coaches are special type. He was brought to India from Germany in the year 2000. The red color coach is called LHB i.e. Link Hoffman Bush Coach. It is made of aluminum and is light in weight compared to other coaches. A train with LHB coaches has a speed of 160 to 200 km per hour. This coach has disc brakes. These coaches are mostly found in trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi. Currently it is manufactured in Kapurthala in Punjab.
Green or brown colour:
Green colored coaches are used in Garibrath trains. Whereas, brown colored coaches are used in meter gauge trains. The different colors of each coach are also intended to make the travel experience of the passengers pleasant and memorable. In some railway zones they have also constructed different colored coaches for passengers – for example, some trains in the central railway zone have white, red and sky colored coaches.
