The real name of this snake-island is "Ilha da Quimada Grande". It is only 90 miles from Sao Paulo. People cannot visit the island. It is the Brazilian Navy that decides who is allowed or not to visit the island, a step taken to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of the snakes.
