China Tests Dangerous Hypersonic Engine, Now Dragon Fighter Jet Will Fly World's Fastest

Rajkot, dt. 28 November 2022, Monday

China recently tested one such hypersonic engine, which would give fighter jets supersonic speeds. The special feature of this engine is that it will have less noise along with its speed. Because when a fighter jet breaks the sound barrier there is a loud sonic boom. But this fighter jet will make no sound other than a sonic boom. It has its fuel behind it. China has used aviation kerosene instead of conventional hydrogen fuel in this engine.

This fighter jet will fly at a speed of 11,113 kilometers per hour

Indeed, no such technology has been developed so far. That a fighter jet could fly at such a speed that if it did, it would explode and its engine would explode. But now China has claimed that it has developed a hypersonic engine that can fly a fighter jet at a speed of 11,113 km per hour.

The name of the engine of this fighter jet is kerosene based detonation engine. A detonation (explosion) engine generates a series of shockwaves to propel the fighter jet. This series of shockwaves is generated by the rapid flow of fuel in its ring-like channel. That is, a round of fuel flowed through the engine rings, quickly throwing the jet forward. The second round picks up the pace even more.

America is currently working on a scramjet engine

Detonation engines produce more power than conventional hypersonic engines. In fact this engine is more powerful than scramjet. America is currently working on a scramjet engine. With the help of this engine, long distance journeys can be completed in a very short time. But its use in fighter jets can be dangerous.

China has tested its new engine in the JF-12 hypersonic shock tunnel. This is the world's largest shock tunnel. Its diameter is 11.4 feet. Engines with speeds of Mach 5 to 9 can be tested inside this tunnel. In this, China tested a detonation engine, which achieved a speed of 11,113 kilometers per hour.

This successful test by Liu Yunfeng and his team

Kerosene burns slowly compared to hydrogen. That is why a large chamber is required for the use of kerosene. That is ten times bigger than the hydrogen chamber. Then this engine will be able to provide speed and power of Mach 9. Liu Yunfeng and his team from the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have conducted this successful test.

The distance of 3791 km from Beijing to Delhi can be covered by this engine in just 20 minutes

Liu Yunfeng and his team have successfully tested this engine using RP-3 fuel. The distance between Beijing and Delhi is 3791 km. If he sends a fighter jet equipped with this engine to Delhi, it will reach here in 20 minutes. Or it can be used in rockets going into space.

Hypersonic engines are being rapidly tested to achieve success in the ongoing space race. It can be used in things like rockets, fighter jet engines, missiles. Because in the future only those who have speed can become world champions.
