Google will now alert you if your password is compromised, this feature has been updated in Chrome

Ahmedabad. 10 October 2020, Saturday

Google Chrome has updated the password protection feature for Android and iOS devices. If you have saved a password on the Google Chrome browser and it is compromised, the browser will issue a warning. After this, the user can change the password by going to Change Password. Chrome will send a copy of your username and password to Google in a special encryption form. After this, Google will check the information provided without compromising your username and password.

To be able to easily change the user password, a web standard feature has been added with Google Chrome. This feature allows URLs to change passwords. This makes it very easy for the user to change the password. Using this feature, Chrome will alert users if their password is compromised. Not only that, this feature takes users directly to the webpage where the password can be changed.

Google has added some other security features to Chrome 86. With its help, the user will get the facility of safe browsing on Android. In addition, the new feature of Chrome browser will provide users protection against phishing, malware and dangerous sites. For this, real time data is shared with Google Safe Browsing service.

Not only that, Chrome has added biometric authentication feature for autofilling passwords in iOS. The user can set authentication by Face ID, Touch ID and phone passcode. If you turn on Chrome Autofill in Settings, Chrome Password Manager allows you to autofill passwords in iOS applications or browsers.
