Impact of global warming: Arctic ice melts record breaking

Artic, Ta. 23 September 2020, Wednesday

Global warming is causing the Arctic Ocean to continue to melt ice. Scientists say the way the ice is melting will break its own record. Researchers at the National Snow and Ice Data Center said that on September 15, it was feared that most of the ice would melt. Satellite imaging and monitoring of sea ice began more than four decades ago. The snow has been falling steadily since 2012.

When ice was first measured it was 1.32 million square miles. It has been steadily declining every year since then. Scientists say that all this is happening due to climate change. So there is an opinion that there is a connection between the terrible fires in the forests and the melting of these glaciers. So on the other hand the sea ice is melting due to the heat of the sun. Global warming is also causing a steady rise in heat. For all these reasons the Arctic ice is melting.

According to researchers, two other changes have been observed in the climate of the Arctic region. One is the change in air temperature and the other is the change in rainy days. The Arctic is one of the areas in the world most affected by climate change. If the ice continues to melt in this way, many glaciers will soon disappear. The amount of heat is increasing every year, but the amount of cold is decreasing.
