Kolkata, Ta. Saturday, August 29, 2020

Many of us are afraid of injections. There are also people who are not afraid of guns but they are afraid of needles. Then came the good news for such people. Researchers at IIT Kharagpur have developed a micro needle. With the help of which medicine can be delivered to the body without pain. The drug molecules can be easily delivered to the body with the help of a needle. IIT Kharagpur has given information about this on Saturday.

The institute's electronics and electronics and communications department has not only reduced the diameter of the needle, but also strengthened it. It is also made strong so that the needle does not break after going into the skin. This needle can also be used for future corona vaccination.

Professor Tarun Kanti Bhattacharya, lead researcher on the discovery, said the needle could be used for lymphatic system insulin delivery or even for the treatment of any other ailment. These include some types of cancer and coronaviruses. “We have made glass carbon micronidals,” he said. The design of this needle is such that it delivers the drug molecule to the body in a controlled and precise manner.

This needle has been developed after many types of research. This needle has been used on animals. This test has also been successful. Now the researchers have applied for his patent.
