Hemolang respiratory device will save the lives of critically ill patients of corona

Scientists at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States have developed a device that can easily remove carbon dioxide from patients' blood. This device will act like a lung for patients in the same way that a dialysis machine does a kidney.

Bio-Engineer Prof. of Swanson School of Engineering of the University. Carbon dioxide in the blood can be easily removed with a hemolang machine, said William Federspill. The ventilator is causing a lot of damage to the lungs but the patient does not have to be knocked unconscious due to this machine.

The FDA approved the machine

The FDA has approved the use of this machine in emergencies. According to experts, it can save serious patients of corona.

The device is intended for COPD patients

This machine was designed for severe patients with COPD and shortness of breath. The machine was approved in Europe in 2013 while its clinical trial is still ongoing in the United States.
