Corona virus boosts cyber hackers' business, SBI warns consumers

Corona virus has boosted the business of cyber hackers. The people sitting in the lockdown have brought the hackers a bullying business. Cyber ​​hackers have set a trap for people who surf the net all day. Even those who have been using the internet for years fall into the trap of hackers during lockdowns. State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest bank, has issued a warning to its customers following the rise in online fraud in the country. The company has sent mails to its customers in this regard and stated 6 essential things to avoid cyber criminals.

1. Don't click on any link
Customers are advised not to click on any link seeking information related to OTP or bank. The fraudster clicks on a fake link to reveal the customer's EMI or DBT and the Prime Minister's Care Fund.

2. Beware of cash-winning schemes
Beware of schemes that guarantee winning a job or a cash prize. It is meant to trap users. Fraudsters usually send such messages via SMS, email or phone call.

3. Keep changing the password from time to time
Keep changing your internet banking login and transaction password from time to time. Don't share it with anyone.

4. The bank does not want OTP from anyone
Never ask for your password or OTP from any call, email or SMS from the bank. This is an old trick of cheaters.

5. Do a Google search for bank details
Do not search the bank's phone number, address or any other information on Google. Not all information available on the Internet is solid. Fraudsters often show up at the bank and the customer gets caught up in their talk. Get any information from SBI's official website.

6. Report immediately
If you fall victim to any type of fraud, report it to the nearest SBI branch along with the local police officer.
