Satellite Based Toll System: Like all the countries around the world, India is also starting a new technology. For the past few years, new technologies are being used in various fields in the country. You no longer have to stand in long queues at toll plazas. As per the current system, the FASTag sticker on your car gets you entry to the toll plaza, but now there is going to be a special feature. The government is now going to get rid of the hassle of standing in queues for hours at toll plazas. After installing the new system you will not need to stop anywhere. In the next few months, you will not even need to brake the toll, as the government is now introducing a satellite-based toll system.

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari briefed Parliament about the satellite toll system. In which he claimed, "We are going to install a satellite-based toll system across the country, and after that toll booths will be removed. You will not need to stop at any toll booth. In this system, a photo of your car's number plate will be taken." . From where you enter and from where you exit, only the toll will be charged. And that too will be directly deducted from your bank account. So you will not be stopped and will not face any hassle." This system will be implemented in the next few days.

The Transport Minister further stated that we are trying to implement this system in the entire country before the implementation of the Code of Conduct. That means satellite based toll system can be implemented in the country in the next few days. Because the Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in March and before that the election commission will announce the dates. And once the dates are announced, the code of conduct comes into effect.

How does this satellite based system work?

In this satellite based system, a photo of your car's number plate will be taken. And whenever you cross the toll border of a state, your toll tax will automatically be deducted from your account. But for that you have to link your account. After that there is no need to stop your car at the toll plaza and your travel time will also be saved.
