Fake reviews can now be recognized on shopping sites!

Diwali is near. Various online shopping sites have started offering ' big ' sales. Most of the times we browse different products in the app of our favorite online shopping site on our smartphone and buy from there. It is easy for us to use the app as we are constantly logged in. Which is not the hassle of logging into the shopping site by repeatedly entering the password.
Most of the time while buying any product online, we check other people's reviews about it. It gives us an idea whether the product is really worth buying or not. But here the contamination of totally fake fake reviews has been prevalent for a long time! Different product companies run a war of fake reviews for and against the product themselves or their competitors. It has now become very easy to create fake reviews thanks to chatgpt and other AI tools. Due to this, this contamination has spread even more.
If you want to identify such fake reviews , you can add an add-on named Fakespot Fake Amazon Reviews and eBay Sellers by Fakespot to the Firefox browser . From next month (though after Diwali!) this facility will be added directly to Firefox PC and Android browsers. No need for a separate addon.
The Firefox company has bought a company called Faxspot. The company originally worked on identifying fake news spread across the Internet, but now it can also check whether reviews on various shopping sites are true or false with the help of AI and machine learning (like the old addon).
As a result, if we visit a shopping site in the Firefox browser and check the reviews of different products, some of the reviews will be known to be fake. This feature is coming from Firefox so the shopping site app will not benefit from it. That's why , this Diwali, run the addon and then shop online from the Firefox browser instead of directly from the app!
