UPI-ATM makes withdrawing money easy

With the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in our country, the online transaction of rupees has become very easy and now there is another big change in it. With the help of UPI, money can be withdrawn from ATMs - without the help of a bank card! Even now, money can be withdrawn from ATMs of various banks without a card, but the procedure is a bit complicated. While with the help of UPI, the whole thing will become very easy.

India's first such UPI-based was launched last week. We mostly have to take the following steps to withdraw money from this UPI ATM:

UPI 'Cardless Cash' option has to be selected on the UPI ATM screen.

Then on the screen that appears there will be a button of 'Live Banks'. By clicking on it, a list of various banks currently offering this facility will be seen.

Apart from this, fixed amount buttons will also be seen on the screen. Like 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000.

When we click on any of the amount buttons, a QR code will be displayed on the screen.

At this stage, we have to open the UPI app in our phone and scan this code using it.

If our UPI account is connected to the bank account, if the bank is providing this facility, after scanning the QR code, the UPI app in the phone will connect to our bank account and the UPI PIN will be asked.

In the app on the phone, the money will be withdrawn from the ATM by giving our UPI PIN.

Thus, there is no need to enter physical bank card or card pin in this whole method. We just need to have a UPI connected bank account and UPI app in the phone. Currently, in this way, an amount of up to 10 thousand rupees can be withdrawn in each transaction.

In the current cardless cash withdrawal method, we have to give our bank registered mobile number and enter the OTP received in it.

Hitachi Payments Services Company and Bank of Baroda have also launched such UPI ATMs in association with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). UPI ATM machines of Hitachi company will be based on Android operating system.

It is very likely that these types of UPI ATMs will be seen in various shops in the coming time.
