Ray of hope for scientists! A rare meteorite found in Gujarat may reveal the secrets of other planets

A meteorite fell in Banaskantha of Gujarat last year in the month of August. This type of astronomical phenomenon was observed after about 170 years. Before this, this kind of astronomical phenomenon was seen in 1852. Scientists stationed in the Space Department of Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad have written extensively about this meteorite.

The recent meteorites found in Gujarat can prove to be a very important source for understanding planetary processes. Scientists say that this meteorite is Obrite. They have confirmed that this meteorite may have formed from the rarest heterogeneous material found in our solar system.

These meteorites were named Deodar meteorites. It fell on August 17, 2022 in Deodar taluk of Gujarat and is hence named as such. According to reports, the villagers saw no sign of him in the sky, only the sound of thunder.

A major part of the meteorite fell in Deodar, while another part fell in the nearby village of Rawal. Here the villagers collected large pieces of meteorites and handed them over to the scientists of the Physical Research Laboratory. These pieces weighed about 200 grams. Analysis of these samples revealed that the meteorite was a rare specimen of obrite. Aubreite belongs to the rare achondrite group of meteorites. Aubreites contain sulfides of sodium, titanium, manganese, chromium, and calcium. All these are lithophile elements.

Further study of meteorites could help us understand planetary processes, the analysis says. Obrite meteorites are a rare commodity in India. The last time such a meteor hit was in 1852 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. After this, this is the second incident of obrite fall in India.

Introduction to meteorites
A meteorite is a solid piece of space debris that crosses Earth's atmosphere and falls to the ground. If you want to know the distance between meteorites, asteroids and asteroids, the main factor is their distance or their position. Meteorites are objects in space that can range in shape from dust particles to small asteroids. But if a meteoroid enters the earth's atmosphere and hits the ground, it is called a meteorite.
