Payment alert in Amitji's voice

After the UPI system became popular in India, UPI apps have been competing at two levels. On one hand there is a competition to attract more and more average users , on the other hand it is a matter of reaching small and big shops. For that, UPI app is weaponizing UPI ' Soundbox ' in addition to simple QR code stickers.

When we pay by scanning the QR code at any shop, the shopkeeper does not have time to open the app on his phone and check whether the payment has been received or not. That's why various UPI apps have come up with soundbox or smart speakers , which give voice alerts of the amount received as payment.

Now the phonepay company has hit a master stroke to stay ahead of the competition of such smart speakers.

Now if we pay a shopper through UPI and that shopper is using the UPI smart speaker of PhonePe , then the shopper will hear the alert that the payment has been received in Amitabh Bachchan's roaring voice! This is the first time in India that a celebrity voice is being used in a smart speaker. Currently Bachchanji will give alerts in Hindi and English. PhonePe's smart speakers have now reached 40 lakh shops in almost 90 percent of the country's areas.

If your shop has a PhonePay smart speaker, open the PhonePay for Business app on your phone. Go to the ' SmartSpeaker ' section from the home screen . In it click on SmartSpeaker Voice under ' My SmartSpeaker ' . Here Amitabh Bachchan's voice and desired language can be selected. Then Amitji's voice will echo in your phonepe smart speaker!
