NASA's spacecraft traveled 6.21 billion km into space, brought 250 grams of dust, orbited for 7 years

A new landmark was established when the spacecraft Rex made a safe landing in the desert of the state of Utah, USA. Rex was sent to land on the Bennu meteorite in 2016. When the capsule's main parachute opened, everyone present became emotional. NASA wrote on social site X that this is the first spacecraft to return after a long journey of 6.21 billion km.


NASA President Bill Nelson highly praised this special mission. The last phase of Osiris Rex's expedition was very difficult.. The Rex meteorite brought about 250 grams of dust from the surface of Bennu. This dust may be fine but it can reveal many secrets of the meteorite. It can also help protect the Earth from the threat of meteorites. Scientists hope that the operation of the Rex spacecraft is a new chapter in understanding the structure of the Solar System.
