Search for life on another planet, satellite launched from Europa to reach Jupiter's orbit in eight years

New delhi date. 13 April 2023, Thursday

Mankind is going to start the campaign to search for life on the planet Jupiter. The Ariane-5 satellite will be launched today by the European Space Agency for this purpose. Which will be sent into Jupiter's orbit.

These satellites are equipped with devices that can also map the moons of Jupiter. This satellite of the European Space Agency will try to find out whether there is any life on the surface of Jupiter's three moons. However, this journey is long. It will take eight years for this satellite to reach Jupiter's orbit. It will enter Jupiter's orbit after July 2031.

Scientists predict that the oceans on Jupiter's three moons Callisto, Europa and Ganymede have abundant water. Satellite will investigate the matter. The space agency has named this mission Jupiter Ice Moons Explorer (JUS). The Ariane-5 satellite will also study the atmosphere on Jupiter's moons.

The agency used its most powerful satellite ever to reach Jupiter. Even then he cannot reach Guru on his own strength. So this satellite will orbit Earth and Venus and use its gravitational pull to make a long jump to reach Jupiter's orbit.

Ariane satellite is fitted with ten instruments like cameras for mapping, particle detectors, radar for mapping the lunar surface.
