Big breakthrough for scientists: AI will recreate dreams and put them on paper

Tokyo, dt. 11 March 2023 Saturday

Scientists have achieved great success in scanning the brain with the help of AI. Now what our brain will see even in dreams, AI will recreate it and put it on paper.

Researchers Shinji Nishimoto and Yu Takagi from Japan's Osaka University have converted brain activity into high-resolution images using AI.

Previously, AI was used to create facial images. For the first time text to image generation stable diffusion AI algorithm has been used. Previously, AI algorithms used to decode brain scans depended only on data sets.

What are the benefits?

This allows people's dreams to be recorded. Learning about people with paralysis can help. This can provide insights into how animals and birds see and understand the world.

Why is scanning done?

When our brain sees an image, the temporal lobe records the information and the occipital lobe records the way of thinking. This information is recorded through a functional magnetic resonance imaging scan of the brain. During this time our blood flow changes. This change is converted into the picture with the help of AI.
