Lately , as our usage of WhatsApp has been increasing , changes are happening in WhatsApp almost at the same pace. Of course , like every big company, WhatsApp makes sure that changes to the app should not cause problems for people in their daily use of the app!

So even though you use WhatsApp daily like millions of other people in India , the new changes may not be noticed by you.

Keeping that in mind , here are some of the major changes that have come or are coming to WhatsApp. These changes are the ones that enhance the usability of WhatsApp without interfering with its daily use . It has multi-device support and one WhatsApp account can be used in four devices simultaneously , but the current condition is that these four devices can have only one mobile device , i.e. the one with our original WhatsApp account. The remaining three devices that can be linked to it can be laptops or PCs.

Since November 2022 , WhatsApp has been working on a ' companion mode ' that can be used on more than one mobile , beta testers have started benefiting from it since last week. It means that now we can use the WhatsApp account with the same mobile number in three other mobile phones! Using this new companion mode of WhatsApp is as easy as linking a PC laptop. After this feature is available to all WhatsApp users and after updating your WhatsApp app , following steps have to be taken.

Install the latest app of WhatsApp in the other mobile where you want to use WhatsApp . Click on the three dots in the right corner , open the menu and select ' Link a Device ' . A QR code should appear.

Now open WhatsApp in your original mobile and go to the menu by clicking on the three dots on the top right. In it click on ' Linked Devices ' . We have to prove our identity by giving a fingerprint or pin , now from the original mobile , the QR code displayed on the screen of the new mobile can be scanned.

Now our WhatsApp account will be active in the other phone as well. Our chat history will also be seen in it and we will be able to receive messages and send messages to others in this other phone as well.

Due to the new feature, we don't have to do anything manually , we just have to enable the option of sharing from WhatsApp to Facebook and decide which statuses are automatically shared.

The option for this can be found on the ' Status Privacy ' page by clicking on the three dots while in the status tab of WhatsApp . Here we will find the option ' Share my status updates across my account ' . By selecting it we will be able to add our Facebook account.

Remember that this feature will be optional. That is, it will normally be disabled. We can turn it on if we want.
