Now Facebook will charge for account verification on Instagram

Elon Musk took to Twitter to set a price for Blue Tick's verification. At the same time, now social media company Meta has also decided to charge for Blue Tick on its social media platforms Facebook and Instagram.

Meta recently decided to charge $14.99 per month to verify Meta accounts, namely Facebook and Instagram accounts, with Blue Tick in the US. Now, according to reports, users are paying Rs. per month for verification on Meta's platform on mobile devices. 1,450 and to subscribe via web browser Rs. 1,009 has to be paid.

Like Twitter Blue Subscription, Meta Verified will add a blue checkmark to your Instagram and Facebook accounts. Meta Verified is currently available in beta phase and users have to join a waiting list to get their Facebook and Instagram accounts verified.

Apart from adding a blue tick mark on the profile, Meta verified accounts will get many other features. Which includes Reach and Exclusive Extras. Importantly, Meta Verified is not available to individuals and businesses under the age of 18.

Who can apply?

Any Facebook and Instagram user who is at least 18 years old can get their account verified. Users with public or private profiles with minimal activity can have their accounts verified. Similarly, one must also provide a government ID, which has the same name and photo, and can be used as a verification document.
