Social stars are now in the grip of taxes


Nowadays, people who have a huge following on Instagram and YouTube and are influencing their followers to promote various products on the strength of it, have started discussing with their chartered account. The point to be discussed is a new issue added to the Income-tax Act from this financial year. Accordingly , in a financial year, Rs. A person who receives more than Rs 50,000 or benefits has to pay 10 per cent tax. If social media influencers are given products for promotion from a company, it also counts in this benefit!
