Delivery of food, medical supplies, etc. services through drones will be easier in the country as the government has relaxed the rules on drones. Prime Minister Modi recently launched the country's first Drone Festival in Delhi with the aim of making drones a strong part of the country's supply chain. However, let me tell you, no one can fly a drone. A drone pilot certificate is required to fly a drone.

How to get approval

For this, the government has launched an official website called Digital Sky. Through it anyone can get online permission and certificate for flying drones. You have to pay Rs 100 for this process and after that you can get a drone pilot certificate.

However, before the pilot certification, you have to pass the training of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). In the same way that you have to take a drive test to get a bike and car license, here you have to take the test by following the basic rules for flying a drone. The fee for this type of drone test drive is Rs. 1,000. Thus, to get a drone certificate, you have to spend a total of Rs. 1,100.

Registration of drones is mandatory

A unique identification number (UIN) is issued for all drones, such as cars and bikes. UIN numbers are issued for all types of drones except nano drones.

Nano drones do not require a UIN number remote pilot license.

Types of drones

1. Nano drone - less than 250 grams

2. Macro Drone- 250 gm to 2 kg

3. Small drones - from 2 kg to 25 kg

4. Medium drone - from 25 kg to 150 kg

5. Heavy drone - weighing more than 150 kg
