The Zoom app will feature end-to-end encryption

Ahmedabad, Dt. 2 November 2020, Monday

The use of the Zoom app for online education and meetings has grown exponentially in the aftermath of the lockdown, but so far it has lacked one thing - it did not have end-to-end encryption.

Now all free and paid users of all versions of Zoom, Android, iOS, PC and Mac will get this feature. Because of this, like WhatsApp, no one will be able to access the data of a session except the participants of a certain group session on Zoom.

Zoom itself will not get this access. Of course, WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption has also been found to have loopholes, so it remains to be seen whether this feature in the zoom is basic.
