Nowadays, application makers along with smartphones have also started using Dark Mode. Dark Mott is available on WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. Not only that, in Android 10, Google has also been given the system-white mode option. Dark mode looks good, but did you know that it can be very dangerous for your delicate eyes?
Increased Dark Mode Craze: The Dark Mode feature is very much in trade for different smartphone apps at the moment. When the jark mode is turned on, the display of the smartphone turns dark or black. This allows you to use the phone without getting tired for a long time, but dark mode where it is good for the day can also be harmful at night.
Vision will be weak: If you use dark mode on your smartphone for a long time, later your eyes will adapt to it and it will be nice to read white text, but when you go to light mode, it will be straightforward. The effect falls on your eyes. After switching between light to dark text, your eyes may not be able to adapt to this sudden change and may even see a brightburn.
Astigmatism can occur in the eyes: According to the American Optometric Association, people who use the dark mode are experiencing a disease called astigmatism. In which the shape of the cornea of one eye or both eyes becomes somewhat strange and blurred. Which is why people can’t read white text on a black background more easily than black text on a white background. The iris gets smaller as the display is brighter. Which causes less light to go into the eye and obscure with a dark display. This affects the focus of the eye.
What to do : If there is no damage to the eyes due to the dark mode, you should keep switching between both the dark mode and the light mode. The brightness of the smartphone's display should be kept low as far as possible. Use light mode during the day whereas dark mode should be used well at night.
