In the last three hours, four new cases of corona have been reported in the country, which is the highest record in a single day. Immunity is the most talked about topic in the Corona period. Immunity is the only cure for the disease as there is no corona drug or vaccine available. In addition to immunity, another term has become known which is sero positivity which is also called sero immunity. Corona testing is done every day but many believe that the corona has gone away without any symptoms.


Some even believe that 1 out of every 5 people has antibodies to the corona virus. Hence it is important to know about sero positivity and antibodies. There is another fluid constantly flowing in our body along with the blood which is called fluid or serum. Fluid i.e. serum is released from the blood to check for sero immunity or positivity. The substances and micronutrients found in this serum are tested. Serum contains antibodies, antigens, hormones, proteins and microbes. Serum does not contain blood cells and leukocytes. If antibodies are found in this fluid and it is able to destroy the corona virus, it is called sero immunization.


The job of antibodies and immune cells in the body is to protect the body against bacteria and viruses. It kills harmful pathogens i.e. viruses and bacteria. Antibodies are found in the serum found in our body and emum cells are found in the blood. Serum is a component of blood components. A sero testing survey was conducted in Delhi and Mumbai in which some people showed immunity against the corona virus. However herd immunity was not seen in any place in the country.
