An elevator in a mall in Thailand has modified a pedal that can be pressed with the foot instead of a button.

In this new system one has to press the pedal to call the lift on any floor and also to press the pedal from the foot to select the floor after entering the lift. The days are not far away when this kind of arrangement can be seen in things other than elevators.
