Video: Pedal instead of button in elevator in Thai mall following Corona virus!

It has been proven once again that need is the genius of research. Until now in all the lifts around the world we had to press a button with the finger for the floor we want to go to, but with the spread of the corona virus we are all turning to a contactless life.

An elevator in a mall in Thailand has modified a pedal that can be pressed with the foot instead of a button.

In this new system one has to press the pedal to call the lift on any floor and also to press the pedal from the foot to select the floor after entering the lift. The days are not far away when this kind of arrangement can be seen in things other than elevators.
