Ordeal before sending Gaganyaan! ISRO will do a big job on October 21, know the mission objective

Gaganyaan Space: The TV-D1 test flight for Gaganyaan will be launched on October 21 at 7 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. However, after this test, three more test vehicle missions will be conducted. The test involves launching the crew module into outer space and recovering it from the Bay of Bengal after touchdown. This includes testing the Crew Escape System (CIS), which will be used to bring the crew back to Earth if the spacecraft encounters a problem.

How important is the mission?

This mission of ISRO is very different and special from all the missions till now. So far all the space missions carried out by India have been unmanned. But in this mission, man will be sent from earth to space through space shuttle. After spending seven days there, he will return to earth. This process is very dangerous that is why there are very few countries in the world that have successfully carried out this type of space mission.

The first test will be unmanned

ISRO Chairman S. Somnath said that the first unmanned mission TV-D1 will take place on October 21. Three other tests TV-D2, TV-D3 and TV-D4 will be conducted to test this system. Currently preparations for Flight Test Vehicle Abbott Mission-1 (TV-D1) are going on. which shows the crew escape system. If this mission is successful then the original Gaganyaan mission will be launched. The success of this mission will prove to be a huge success for ISRO.

Gaganyaan will orbit the earth for 3 days

ISRO had planned that Indian astronauts would orbit the Earth for 7 days by Gaganyaan, but later this plan changed. It was said that instead of 7 days, the astronauts would orbit the Earth for 1 or 3 days. In this mission, the crew model of Gaganyaan will move in a low earth orbit at an altitude of 400 km above the earth.

According to media reports, there are plans to deploy capable pilots of the Indian Air Force in this mission. That is why everything is being taken care of in its preparations. So this mission is very special because there is no room for error.

Training of four people has started for this

The purpose of the Gaganyaan mission is to test the capability of sending humans into the sub-Earth orbit and landing them in the Bay of Bengal or the Arabian Sea and bringing them back safely to Earth. Four astronauts have been selected for this mission. Who are currently being given crew-training and Gaganyaan mission specific training in Bengaluru. Astronauts participating in this mission will be called Gaganauts. The task of selecting the astronauts for this mission was given to the Indian Air Force. After Chandrayaan-3, ISRO's Gaganyaan mission will be special for India in many ways.

What is the Gaganyaan Mission?

ISRO will send a manned spacecraft into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) through this mission. ISRO aims to send humans into low Earth orbit and develop an indigenous capability to do so. Big preparations have been made for this. ISRO claims that in terms of safety, the astronauts going for this mission will be provided with a life support system similar to that found on Earth. Special care has been taken for their safety. Their safety will be verified by conducting several tests before starting the mission. These include Air Drop Test (IADT), Pad Abort Test (PAT) and Test Vehicle (TV) flight. Only the results of these tests will tell how capable the mission is of carrying astronauts. ISRO has also enlisted the help of DRDO and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to build the Gaganyaan mission. If ISRO succeeds in sending an astronaut into space, it will become the fourth country to send a human into space after the US, Russia and China.
