A mix of old and new times in a single photograph

Look at the above picture carefully. If you look at the part connecting the two parts of the picture, you will immediately realize that both the pictures are of the same place! The only difference is that on one side of the river there is a boat , while on the other side there are cars and roads! Both the pictures are actually from the same place , only there is a gap of 107 years and 10 months between them. The first picture is from January 1910 , when the river Seine flooded and flooded part of Paris, France , on the other hand, a century later , the same place!
We see 'before and after ' images in advertisements or websites of weight loss clinics or dental clinics. The site we are talking about has a wealth of similar ' before and after ' and ' then and now ' images. The difference is that here you can see such photographs of various places or people around the world.
In fact , a real- estate company in England called Rightmove created a fun interactive website called Then and Now . The site took old photos of the devastation in various areas of England during the First World War and superimposed over them modern-day photos of the same area , taken from roughly the same angle. Then by extending that site ( https://re.photos/) It covers images from around the world showing past and present conditions. The trick is that a slider is provided on the photograph with an arrow going left-right. We take it back and forth so that the difference between the old and the new picture becomes clear! Along with each image , there are some details and comments from users. It is a little difficult to find pictures on the site yourself , if you reach this page, it will be easy : https://www.re.photos/en/tags/ The ' how-to ' section of the site also explains how to take a photograph of the same place , from the same angle , from an old photo. Users can also upload such pairs here - no pictures from India here!
