Why did Google remove the Remove China app from the Play Store?

New Delhi, June 3, 2020, Wednesday

The Remove China app has been the talk of the town for the past few days. More than 5 million people downloaded the app before the Google Play Store removed it. The unique feature of this app is that users can delete Chinese apps found in their smartphones. These apps have benefited from the recent anti-China atmosphere in the country. Like the rest of the world, Indians hold China responsible for the spread of the Corona virus.

There is talk of confronting China even in self-reliance and indigenous. However, in the phone of the user who has already downloaded the app, it will continue to work in the phone. In a single day, Google has removed two apps from the Play Store, including the Friends app, which works like Tick Talk. The Remove China app made it to the top trading list on the Gabgal Play Store. The app was developed by an IT company in Jaipur.

The company has announced the removal of the app from the Play Store by tweeting. However no reason has been given for removing the app. According to a source, the app has violated the rules and policy of Google Play Store. As per the policy, no user can persuade another third party to remove the app. Although Indians have protested against Google's removal of the China Remove app from the Play Store, accusing Google of taking China's side, Indians on social media are also expressing resentment against Google Play's move.
