Research is going on all over the world to make space sterile, including India. Considering the health of astronauts, India has got an opportunity for top institutes to conduct new research. Various organizations have jointly started research to protect the astronauts who return to Earth from various diseases.

Besides NASA and ISRO, India's IITians are working on studies to disinfect the space station. Microbes living in the earth, air and water are also on the International Space Station. Some of these microbes can harm humans.

Scientists associated with Indian space science said that a disease called Klebsiella pneumoniae was recently identified in space, after which there were concerns about the health of astronauts. Apart from America and Europe, many countries are involved in such scientific research.
