20 On September 2021 NY 1 asteroid will pass close to Earth

New York, September 21, 2021, Tuesday

Asteroids passing close to the Earth are tracked by the US space agency NASA. Most of these are less likely to collide but are closely monitored as part of vigilance and study. According to the information received, an asteroid (asteroid) 3 times bigger than the Statue of Liberty in New York City, USA will pass close to the Earth on September 9. The fast-moving asteroid is named 2021 NY1.

Asteroids orbit the Sun just like any other planet but they are very small in size. The asteroids in our solar system are mostly found in the orbital asteroids of Mars, Jupiter and Jupiter. In addition to this, it also orbits other planets and also orbits the Sun along with the planet. The solar system originated about 2.5 billion years ago. At that time a cloud of gas and dust that could not take the shape of any planet and was left behind. This rock gradually turned into an asteroid. That is why this asteroid is not round like the planets, not only are the two asteroids not the same.

Scientists have been monitoring Asteroid 2021 NY1 for the last 20 days. The speed of this asteroid is 5 km per hour. The asteroid has a diameter of 150 to 200 meters while the height of the Statue of Liberty is 5 km. Scientists believe that 2021 NY1 will pass safely at a distance of 12.5 lakh km from the Earth, so there is no special threat.

A total of about 2,000 asteroids have been discovered so far, according to NASA, which periodically orbit the Earth. As many as 12 of them are at risk from asteroids. An asteroid named 2021 QC1, which has been tracked, will also pass at a distance of 3 million km from the Earth. A NASA study has revealed that the asteroid Bennu 200 is likely to collide with the Earth.
