Rare astronomical phenomenon! NASA records supernova explosion of a bright star

The US research agency NASA has shared a video in which a huge stellar explosion has been recorded. The massive explosion recorded in space by NASA is recorded in the SN 2018 GV supernova about 70 million light years away from Earth. NASA has also shared a video of it on its official Twitter handle.

The supernova is the largest explosion of a star in space. The video also shows the fading light of the Supernova 2018 GV. Scientists believe that such phenomena are very rare.

This star, half the diameter of our Milky Way, was discovered in 1791 by the British astronomer William Herschel as a 'spiral nebula'. Spread over time-laps for nearly a year, the supernova has been seen for the first time as a shooting star located on the outer edge of the galaxy.

Nobel laureate Adam Reese, president of the High-Z Supernova Search Team, said, "There can be no more fireworks in the world than the light of an explosion recorded by the Hubble Space Telescope."

Astronomers can calculate the distances of their galaxies after knowing the actual brightness of the supernova and seeing its brightness in the sky. This could help astronomers measure the area rate of the universe.

The Hubble Telescope could not record the initial explosion in January 2018 but was continuously photographed for almost a year from 2018 to 2019. This image has been collected in a time-lapse sequence. The explosion of the star that has been recorded was 5 billion times brighter than the Sun.
