Is Corana increasing the risk of diabetes in children?

London, 18, August, 2020, Tuesday

Corona virus epidemics have not stopped spreading for more than six months, but scientists have warned that children are at risk of developing type 1 diabetes. Experts at Imperial College London have warned parents that children with coronary heart disease may have symptoms of diabetes if they experience excessive fatigue, dehydration and frequent urination and weight loss.

According to a report published in the British newspaper Telegraph, corona symptoms are less common in children but if they are diabetic, corona can be very dangerous. More than 50 children were admitted to a British hospital during the Corona lockdown and were diagnosed with diabetes. While in normal days, the cases of diabetic children were barely 3 to 4. According to the report, 4% of diabetic children showed severe symptoms of corona.

Researchers believe that the rate of coronavirus infections has risen sharply in the case of children with type 1 diabetes. Researchers have argued that the spike protein could be a coronavirus attack on insulin-producing cells. More research is needed on this because corona has proven to be more deadly for children and older people around the world.
