The ability of antibodies to fight corona virus is only 6 months: Study

Developed immunity against the corona virus can only last for six months, after which the body's antibody levels begin to decline, allowing the person to become infected a second time, according to a recent study from the University of Amsterdam.

Researchers examined the effects of four strains of the corona virus responsible for the cold-cough in 10 men for 35 consecutive years, and found that all participants were developing the strength to fight each strain of the corona virus for a very short time.

After six months, the levels of antibodies that beat the corona began to drop rapidly. By the time 12 months had passed, he was in the throes of a corona transition.

There is no guarantee of antibodies

According to lead researcher Leah van der Hoek, the study makes it clear that the presence of anti-corona antibodies in an antibody test does not mean that a person is immune to the virus.

Within 6 to 7 months when antibody levels begin to drop and the virus attacks twice, it is possible for the person to become infected again.

Must be vaccinated every year

Hoek claims that once the entire population is vaccinated, the outbreak of the different strains of the corona virus will stop for several years, and it is a big mistake to assume that if people are not vaccinated once, they can become infected again in 6 to 12 months.

Question on Immunity Passport

Ian Jones, a toxicologist at Reading University, has questioned the British government's plan to issue an immunity passport amid claims of developing a year-round immunity against Corona.
